20 February 2024
Venue: Swarna Bharat Trust, Atkuru, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.

It was an honor to present the findings of CoreCarbonX’s study on natural farming and its impact on water savings, energy savings, and soil organic carbon improvements at Swarna Bharat Trust, Atkuru, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.

CoreCarbonX’s MD Niroj Mohanty, Ashish Chaudhury, Head Natural Farming, and Mr Ramkrishna, Lead Andhra Pradesh and natural farming project team engaged with vibrant local farming communities. We discussed how farmers embracing traditional practices like “prakritik vyavasayam” (natural farming), a form of regenerative agriculture, that is transforming agriculture in the region.

This shift away from chemicals towards nature-based solutions is revitalizing soil, conserving water, and boosting yields. By integrating ancient wisdom with modern techniques, natural farming enhances biodiversity and fosters ecological resilience.

We believe championing natural farming methods can revolutionize agriculture in Andhra Pradesh and beyond. It safeguards livelihoods while combating climate change. Our interactions reaffirmed that farmers are eager to learn and adopt sustainable techniques.

We also showcased low-carbon rice, just one of the many promising crops made possible by natural farming. This is the future of sustainable agriculture.
